Accountancy
• The weightage of Partnership and Company A/c which were previously 35 and 15 marks
respectively has been changed to 30 and 20 marks respectively.
• ⇨In Unit 2 (Accounting for Partnership Firms), adjustment of goodwill can also be done through
raising and writing off goodwill.
•⇨ In Unit 3 (Accounting for Companies), in redemption of debentures, discount or loss on issue of
debentures to be written off in the year debentures are allotted from Security Premium Reserve
(if it exists) and then from Statement of Profit and Loss as Financial Cost (AS 16).
• ⇨In Unit 5(Cash Flow Statement) As per AS 4, Proposed Dividend is to be accounted for in the next
year after it is declared.
• ⇨Design of Question Paper changed (20 Marks Objective Questions have been added and the
total number of questions has increased to 32 from 23)
Business Studies
• ⇨Concepts of ‘Supervision’ and ‘Functions of a Supervisor’ have been deleted from Unit 7.
• Concepts of ‘selling’, ‘marketing management’, ‘role and objections to advertising’, ‘ qualities
of a good salesman’, ‘role of public relations’, ‘factors determining choice of channels of
distribution’ and ‘sales promotion techniques’ have been deleted from Unit 11
• Design of Question Paper changed (20 Marks Objective Questions have been added and the
total number of questions has increased to 34 from 25)
Chemistry
• Chapter 1 (Solid state) has been deleted
• ‘Group-15’ deleted from p-block elements
• Classification: natural and synthetic, methods of polymerization (addition and condensation) is
deleted from Polymers
• Design of Question Paper changed (20 Marks Objective Questions have been added and the
total number of questions has increased to 37 from 27)
Chemistry (Lab Manual)
• No change in practicals
Economics
• Indian Economic Development becomes Part B from Class_11 and Introductory Macroeconomics
has become Part A.
• The weightage of Unit 7 (Current challenges facing Indian Economy) and 8 (Development
Experience of India: A comparison with neighbours) has changed to 22 marks and 6 marks from
20 marks and 8 marks respectively.
• Topic ‘Need of L.G.P policies’ has been deleted from Unit 6 (Development Experience (1947-90)
• Concepts of ‘Demonetisation’ and ‘GST’ have been added to Unit 6 (Development Experience
(1947-90) and Economic Reforms since 1991)
• In Unit 7 (Current challenges facing Indian Economy), under topic ‘Employment’, only formal and
informal growth to be studied, no except issue to be read.
• Design of Question Paper changed (20 Marks Objective Questions have been added and the
total number of questions has increased to 34 from 24)

Work changed from 5 marks to 6 marks respectively

• Design of Question Paper changed (18 Marks Objective Questions have been added and the
total number of questions has increased to 33 from 25)
Mathematics
• Topics ‘binary operations’ (from unit relations and functions) and ‘repeated independent
(Bernoulli) trials and binomials distribution’ (from unit Probability) have been deleted
• Chapterwise marks changed
Physics
• Topics junction transistor, transistor action, characteristics of a transistor and transistor as an
amplifier (common emitter configuration), basic idea of analog and digital signals, logic gates
(OR, AND, NOT, NAND and NOR) have been deleted from chapter 14
• Chapter 15 (Communication System) has been deleted
• Design of Question Paper changed (20 Marks Objective Questions have been added and the
total number of questions has increased to 34 from 27)
Physics (Lab Manual)
• Experiment 10 (to study the characteristics of a common-emitter n-p-n or p-n-p transistor and to
find out the values of current and voltage gains) has been replaced by to determine the
wavelength of a laser beam by diffraction in Section B.
• Activity
(Use of multimeter to (i) identify base of transistor, (ii) distinguish between n-p-n and p-
n-p type transistors, (iii) see the unidirectional flow of current in case of a diode and an LED, (iv)
check whether a given electronic component (e.g., diode, transistor or IC) is in working order)
